The icon from the Festival tier of iconostasis. The ion shows the scene of the Ascension of our Lord. In the lower part are depicted the twelve Apostles and the Mother of God with the angels. Above in the centre against the background of the mandorla being held by the angels is the figure of Jesus Christ.
