Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, with scenes from his life (Velikoretsk variant)

Origin: was removed from the church of Nativity of the other of God in the village of Ludy, Primorsky district, Archangelskaya region (1862)
Material: Wood, levkas, tempera
Dimensions: height 58 cm, width 46 cm
In the deep centerpiece is represented the waist-length depiction of saint Nicholas in the golden attire of bishop with pearls. His right hand is blessing, his left hand is holding the closed Gospel book. The wide golden halo with the ruled quatrefoiled ornament covers the upper border.

1. St. Nicholas brought to scool;
2. Appearance before Tsar Constantine in his sleep;
3. Saving Demetrius from drowning;
4. Office of saint Nicholas;
5. Miracle of the sailors;
6. Saving the three men from execution;
7. Return of Basil, son of Agrikos, to his parents;
8. Death of saint Nicholas.
