Date: XIX century. Early 19th century
Origin: From the church commemorating saint Nicholas the Wonderworker of the Sukhachskiy pogost, Belozerskiy district, Novgorodskaya region (now – the village of Shoborovo, Kaduyskiy district, Vologodskaya region).
Material: Wood, tempera
Dimensions: height 74 cm, width 53,2 cm
St. John is depicted in the armor holding a cross in his hand. The icon represents the scene of transfer of the relics of John the Warrior. In the upper part of the composition in the quadrants are figures of Christ and the angel.
Was deposited in 1935.
