Cyril of Belozersk, Venerable, praying to the Savior

Date: XVIII century.

Origin: From the church commemorating the Annunciation to the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Yedom in Cherepovetsky district, Novgorodskaya region (now – Sheksninskiy district, Vologodskaya region).

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 45 cm, width 35,5 cm

The major part of the composition is occupied by the depiction of Cyril of Belozersk monastery. In the upper right corner is shown the figure of Cyril of Belozersk praying to the Savior.

Was deposited in 1939.

Restoration: ЧКМ, 1979, restorer – Glukhova E.M.
