Ignatius of Lomsk, Venerable

Date: XVII century. Late 17th – early 18th century
Origin: From the Blagoveshchensky antetemple of the church commemorating the image of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the Spaso-Lomskaya hermitage. (liquidated in 1764) in the Poshekhonskiy district, Yaroslavskaya region (now the village of Spas-Lom in Cherepovetsky district, Vologodskaya region). The hermitage was founded in the second half of the 16th century by Venerable Ignatius of Lomsk (+1591).

Dimensions: height 182 cm, width 72 cm
The icon is a lid of the reliquary. Full-length depiction of Venerable Ignatius of Lomsk holding a scroll in his left hand.
Was deposited in 1963.
Restoration: the All-Russian Art Scientific and Restoration Center named after I.E. Grabar, 1992, restorer – Tsirul G.V.
