Date: XVII century.
Origin: From the Nikolsky antetemple of the church commemorating Saint Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian of Troitskaya-Blagoveshchenskaya Sinozerskaya hermitage in the Ustyuzhensky district, Novgorodskaya region (now – Chagodishchensky district, Vologodskaya region). The hermitage was founded in 1600 by Venerable Euphrosynus of Sinozersk.

In the upper part of the composition are represented the Old Testament scenes of Creation of Adam and Eve, the Fall of Adam and Eve, the Expulsion from Paradise. Below is depicted Abraham’s bosom with the figures of sitting forefathers James, Isaac and Abraham holding the souls of the righteous people depicted as babies. To their right is the Generous robber holding a cross in his hands. In the lower part of the door is shown prophet Daniel in the lion’s den.
