In the upper right corner of the icon is depicted the three-color quadrant with the blessing arm of God. To the left above the fiery “whirlwind” surrounding the figure of ascending prophet Elijah in the fiery chariot is represented the half-figure of archangel Michael. In the lower left part of the composition is shown Elisha grasping the mantle of the prophet Elijah. He stands near the river flow (Jordan river) and to the right is depicted the cavern with a stone where Elijah hid from the tsarina Jezebel after slaying the pagan priests.
