The centre of the composition shows Christ sitting on a donkey in a practically frontal pose, His legs are on the side of a viewer and His head is turned to the people walking out of the town holding the palm branches in their hands. He is followed by the apostles headed by apostle Peter also depicted in a practically frontal pose.
