The icon shows five myrrh-bearers holding the vessels in their hands bending over the empty tomb with the white shrouds lying in it. At the head of the Lord’s Tomb is sitting the angel attired in the white clothes holding a thin baton in his hand, announcing the Resurrection of the Savior. Above, between the angel and the myrrh-bearers in the split of the rocky rocks can be seen the figure of Christ and to His left is depicted kneeling Mary Magdalene. The Savior is pointing at the town surrounded by the vallum which symbolizes the Jerusalem above.
