Origin: From the Chapel of the Mother of God in the village of Kurgenitsy, Medvezhyegorsky district, the Republic of Karelia.

Dimensions: height 103,5 cm, width 83,5 cm
In the center are the most frequently encountered scenes from the life of the Prophet Elijah. In the upper part is the Fiery Ascension of Elijah, to the right is Elijah being fed by the raven in the wilderness. In the lower part are the scenes depicting the appearance of the angel to Elijah and Elijah and Elisha walking across the river Jordan. The composition is surrounded by twelve border scenes.
