Iconography: Demetreus of Thessaloniki, the Great Martyr
Date: XII century. 1108-1113
Origin: From the Church of the Archangel Michael (1108-1113) of the Zlatoverhovy Monastery in Kiev. The icon had been located on the southern part of the crossed altar northeastern pillar.

Dimensions: height 214,5 cm, width 122 cm
Mosaics. St.Demetrius is portrayed full-length in an erect frontal pose. With his right hand he holds a lance, leaning on a shield with his left; behind his back, on the belt, hangs a sheathed sword. He is dressed in a pink shirt with golden bordering, his golden armor suit decorated with multi-colored plates on the shoulders and waist; he wears blue trousers with a golden ornamentation. The armor suit is covered with a long blue cloak, knotted on the right shoulder and decorated with golden edging with a dark-blue ornamentation (tablion).
