The icon depicts the scene of the Ascension of Our Lord. In the lower part of the icon are the twelve apostles and the Holy Virgin with the angels. Above, in the center, against a mandorla supported by the angels, is the figure of Jesus Christ. In the upper part of the icon are the heavenly hosts.
