The icon represents scenes from the life of Elijah the Prophet. In the top part of the icon Elijah the Prophet is shown ascending heavens on the fiery chariot. In the center is a depiction of Elijah the Prophet, to the left is a scene of the angel’s appearance in the wilderness, above is a scene on Mount Carmel. In the lower right part of the icon Elijah the Prophet is shown dividing the waters of Jordan with his cloak.
