The icon represents the nine holy martyrs of Cyzicus depicted against a church: Theognes, Rufus, Antipater, Theostichus, Artemas, Magnus, Theodotus, Thaumasius, and Philemon. In the upper part of the icon is the figure of Jesus Christ.
