    The centerpiece represents shoulder-length depiction of saint Nicholas, above him there is Deesis. To his left, to his right and underneath are the Selected Saints.

    The icon with scenes. The centerpiece represents the saint praying to the Savior depicted in the quadrant. To her left people are asking for her protection down on their knees and behind her is a figure of young executioner.
  • Catherine, St.

    The half-length figure of St. Catherine. The great martyr is portrayed in royal vestment with loros and a crown, holding a cross with her raised right hand. In her right hand she holds an unfolded scroll with a nearly destroyed inscription (Catherine’s scroll normally carried the words of her prayer for the dying (Господи Боже мой, услыши мя, елико аще тебе се молю. Аще кто вспомянет имя мое Екатерину при исходе душа его, проводи его миром). The unusually broad and stumpy figure of the saint not fitting into the icon board area, a big face with roundish brows and a small mouth produces a monumental impression
  • Our Lady of Tikhvin

    Our Lady pressing the Divine Child with Her left arm is depicted waist-length. His right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing. On the raised flat borders of the icon panel are the saints: St.Catherine and St.Anastasia.
  • Alexis, the Man of God

    In the centrepiece of the icon the Venerable Father is depicted waist-length, his hands are folded on his chest. On the raised flat borders of the icon panel are full-length figures of St.Nicholas and St.Catherine.
  • Nicholas the Wonderworker

    The saint is depicted waist-length. In his left hand he holds the opened Gospel Book and his right arm is raised in a gesture of blessing. In the saint’s halo are figures of Jesus Christ with the Gospel Book and the Mother of God with the omophorion. On the raised flat borders of the icon panel are St.Sergius, St.Sabbas, St.Catherine and St.Maria.
  • Catherine, Great Martyress

    The saint martyress is depicted full-length holding a cross and an unfolded scroll in her hand. The wreath and the pendant on icon, the metal frame with stamping lavishly decorated with the floriated ornament encase the figure of Catherine in the flaming cinnabar vestment. Exquisite face of the saint martyress is covered with a thin layer of paint which is put on the ochroid dark underpaint with the olive shades.
  • Nicholas the Wonderworker, St., with the Deesis and the Selected Saints

    The centerpiece shows the waist-length depiction of St. Nicholas. On the upper border of the icon is represented Deesis with the image of Savior Not Made by Hands in the centre. At the sides of the Savior are represented waist-length depictions of the Mother of God, John the Forerunner and archangels Michael and Gabriel. At the sides of the central image of Nicholas the Wonderworker are shown the half-figures of great forefathers Basil the Great and Gregory the Theologian, apostles Peter and Paul , healers Cosmas and Damian. In the lower part of the centerpiece are the depictions of protomartyr archdeacon Stephen, great martyrs Parasceva, Catherine and Barbara and also martyr Menas.
