Chirst is depicted enthroned against the aureola. His right hand is raised in blessing and his right hand holds the Gospel. In the icon corners are shown the symbols of the Evangelists: the angel is a sign of Matthew the Evangelist, a calf is a symbol of Luke, an eagle is the one of John’s, and a lion is a sign of Mark. However, near an image of the lion one can read “John” while an image of the eagle in the upper right corner is undersigned “Mark”. -

The Pantocrator is depicted enthroned surrounded by the virtues. Sitting on the throne with the semi-circular back and the slanted pediment Christ is attired in the ochroid clothes – chiton and himation with the brown wrinkles and gold hatching. His right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing and his left hand holds an open Gospel book. The figure of the Savior is depicted in the mandorla consisting of the rhombus, the ellipse and the quadrangle put on each other and filled with the depictions of seraphims and cherubs. Near the pediment are depicted so-called “thrones” – fiery wheels with eyes and wings. In the corners of the quadrangle are represented four apocalyptic beasts – the angel, the lion, the calf and the eagle, the symbols of the four evangelists. -

Figure of the Savior is painted inside the glorious halo looking like a rhombus, an oval and a quadrangle put on each other. In the corners of the quadrangle are represented the depictions of the four apocalyptic beasts - the angel, the lion, the calf and the eagle symbolizing the four evangelists. -
